Adult Neurology
The Center for Neurosciences delivers a full range of adult neurological services. We have taken
a leadership role in treating neurological disorders, including: stroke, dementia, multiple sclerosis,
epilepsy, headache, peripheral nerve and muscle disorders, and Parkinson’s disease—as well as
therapeutic Botox injections.
A sample of our clinical services in
Neurology includes:
Headache Management Clinic
Behavioral therapy and pharmacotherapy are two
examples of the broad range of treatment options
we offer for patients with migraine, cluster, and
tension headaches.
Epilepsy Clinic
We are actively developing a comprehensive
epilepsy management program, headed by a
fellowship-trained epilepsy specialist. Through
our collaborative efforts with Tucson Medical
Center, our practitioners have access to a
dedicated epilepsy monitoring unit equipped
with video-EEG technology. |
Neurophysiology
We offer the entire range of electrodiagnostic
services, including: nerve conduction studies,
electromyography, and electroencephalography.
Many of our physicians are fellowship trained in
neurophysiology and can perform more specialized
tests including brainstem, auditory, visual, and
somatosensory-evoked potentials.
Stroke Care
We are at the forefront of stroke diagnosis,
treatment, and prevention. By partnering with
many of Tucson’s local hospitals, we can offer an
extraordinary continuum of stroke care that begins
in the emergency room and continues in the
outpatient setting.
