Doctors Seeing Increase in Young Stroke Victims

“The decreased rate in stroke probably has to do with the fact that we’ve become much better at treating the known risk factors for stroke,” said Dr. David Teeple, a Center for Neurosciences neurologist. “The reason there’s an increase of people under the age of 50 probably is mirroring or has to do with this epidemic of obesity.”

The Parkinson’s Disease Support Group is at 5:30 p.m. and the Multiple Sclerosis Support Group starts at 6:00 p.m. No need to register. StrokeCheck 2015

Saturday, April 18th from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., is the annual community StrokeCheck. Stroke screenings are available at all area hospitals free of charge. For more details call 872-4344.

MS Support Group

Wednesday, March 11th at 6:00 p.m., is the monthly MS Support Group. This month’s support group will be meeting at the Union Public House at 4340 N. Campbell, Suite 103. No need to register.
