Arlette Stevens Castano, MSN, NP-C
Arlette Stevens Castano earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences at the University of Arizona in 2000 and worked as an RN in medical/surgical at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System for 7 years. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner at the University of Arizona in 2005. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. As a Nurse Practitioner, Arlette has worked in areas such as Women’s Health at the Phoenix VA, Otolaryngology at the Southern Arizona VA, and continues as a forensic nurse examiner for sexual assaults at the non-profit Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault. She is a member and Board of Director of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses, and Board of Director of the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation.
Arlette grew up in Tucson, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and enjoys participating with the community in various ways. Arlette joined the Ear and Hearing team at the Center for Neurosciences in December 2017, under the supervision of Dr. Abraham Jacob.
